    Description

What an exciting time that was!  The first human space flight program of the United States.  On February 20,1962 John Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth.  He blasted into space aboard Mercury's Friendship 7 capsule.
That is my father's name on the envelope...and our address - but it no longer exists because the house was torn down. He loved stamps...especially firsts.
This will soon be a 60 year
    old envelope and one-of-a-kind stamp.
What a wonderful, nostalgic part of history one could own and be proud of.
